Frederick Thomas Duke Bussicott was born on 25th
October 1837 (BC) at 2 Princes Row,
Queen Street, Belgravia, St George Hanover Square to
William and Mary Ann Bussicott as noted earlier.
There is no trace of him in
the 1841, 1851,1861 or the 1871 censuses which is very
strange.
However on 5th
January 1863 (MC)
he married Louisa Wallis at St Judes Church in Upper
Chelsea.
However six months later
Louisa died.
Undeterred Frederick Thomas
Duke tried again and some six months later married
Martha Elizabeth Carter in early 1864.
They had at least three
children that survived
• Frederick John born in Pimlico
in 1864
• Martha Elizabeth born in
Pimlico in 1868
• Alice Winifred born in Pimlico
in 1870
There were a number of
Bussicott children who had died young. Without
requesting birth and death certificates which is
expensive I cannot be sure but the following children
all died in the St George Hanover Square district (which
covered the Pimlico district) and they were the only
Bussicott family living there at the time
• Mary
Ann Bussicott died aged 1 in March 1867
• Charles Henry Bussicott was
born in 1873 and died in 1878
• Mary
Ann Bussicott born in 1877 and died in 1878
• Jessie Eliza Bussicott born in
1878 died in 1880
Frederick Thomas Duke at
last appears in the April 1881
census living at 12 Lower Garden Street, Westminster where he is recorded as living with his family as
follows
