Mary Ann Bussicott

On 28th September 1842 (BC) Mary Ann was born to William Richard and Sarah at 12 St Georges Row in Belgravia in St George Hanover Square. William Richard was recorded as a labourer on the birth certificate

In the April 1861 Census she was recorded as a servant with the Hart family in Whitechapel.

Mary Ann married John Hayden on April 19th 1863  (MC) in All Saints Church Mile End in Stepney.

By September of that year John had died.

She had two sons Alfred Hayden born in 1863 and William Hayden born in 1866 (who was the father?)

Then on June 10th 1867 aged 25 she married Daniel Lincoln.

In the 1881 Census she was living with David Lincoln and their 6 children and also her two sons by Arthur James Hayden at 29 Ann Street in the London Mile End.

Catastrophe must have then struck as we next find Mary Ann in the April 1901 Census where she was sleeping in an Institution and termed a patient and described as a widow and a matchbox worker.

I have been traced via the internet by David Templeman who is researching his family. He has found our Daniel Lincoln who had married Mary Ann Bussicott.

One of the above children, Susan Eliza Lincoln, born in 1868 David has traced to the present day.
