Batchelor

Third Generation

James Langdon Batchelor (1866–) and Amy Zilpah

James Langdon was living with his mother Harriet in the 1881 census aged 16.

I cannot trace him in the 1891 census. In late 1893 he married Amy Zilpah Hall in Fulham. She had been born in Westbourne Park in 1872.

In 1894 Amy Mary was born in Brentford (Twickenham in 1901 census)

In 1896 James Langdon was born in Brentford (also Twickenham in the 1901 census)

In 1898 Clara was born in Romford (Barking in the 1901 census)

In 1900 Dulciebelle Caroline was born in Romford (also Barking in the 1901 census)

In the 1901 Census James and Amy were living at 32 St Mary’s Road Barking with their 4 children. James had followed his father and was a policeman.

No trace since 1901 of this family. Although we now have a photo which may be them attending a family wedding. There is therefore a male line existing into the 20th century. As he was a policeman I am trying to trace through police records.
